Terms and Conditions of Use - Helppet.es
These Terms govern access to and use of the www.helppet.es, platform, as well as the services offered by Helppet in relation to identification, alerts, adoption and collaboration for animal protection.
1. Legal information
The website www.helppet.es (hereinafter, the "Platform") is operated by Helppet S.L. , with Tax ID B44564979 and registered address at C/ Zamora, 50 - 43717 La Bisbal del Penedès (Tarragona, Spain).

2. Purpose and services
Helppet is a platform dedicated to animal welfare that offers its users the following services:
Alert Management
Registration and publishing of lost and found pets to help reunite them with their owners.
Adoption and Sponsorship
Tools for rescue centres and individuals to publish animals for adoption or manage sponsorships.
Community
A contact system between users to collaborate on animal protection.
3. Registration and use of the platform
Age: Registration is only allowed for people over 14 years old.
Accuracy: The user undertakes to provide truthful and up-to-date information about their identity and about the pets they register.
Responsibility: The user is solely responsible for safeguarding their access credentials and for how their account is used.
4. How the NFC tags work
Technology
The tags use high-speed NTAG-213 chips.
Specifications
They are passive devices (no battery), water-resistant, UV-protected and weigh approximately 5 grams.
Purpose
The tag allows a third party, by scanning it with a smartphone, to access the owner's contact profile in order to return the animal.
5. Lost and found pets
Alerts: When activating a lost-pet alert, Helppet may notify nearby users based on the location associated with their profiles to increase the chances of finding the pet.
Postings: A user publishing a found pet undertakes to act in good faith and to cooperate with the authorities if necessary.
6. Adoptions and sponsorships
Helppet's role: The platform acts solely as a technological intermediary. Legal management of the adoption or the sponsorship agreement is the exclusive responsibility of the parties involved (rescue centres, shelters or individuals).
Social Impact: Helppet donates part of the profits from tag sales to registered shelters.
7. Anonymous communication between users
To protect privacy, Helppet offers a contact system that lets users communicate without initially revealing their private personal details (such as phone number or exact address) until they themselves decide to share them voluntarily.
8. Limitation of liability
Interactions: Helppet S.L. is not responsible for users' conduct, nor for the accuracy of adoption listings or lost-pet alerts.
Animal Health: Health information entered on digital profiles is the owner's responsibility and does not replace advice from a professional veterinarian.
Technology: Although the NFC chip is durable and resistant, Helppet does not guarantee that a reunion will be successful, as this depends on external factors such as the third party's mobile coverage or NFC availability on their device.
9. Intellectual property
All content, designs, logos and software on the website are the property of Helppet S.L. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These conditions are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of the user's place of residence or, failing that, those of Tarragona.
